About Amanda
I’ve always been a vibrant and engaged community member who wears many hats as an educator, yoga teacher and retreat host, entrepreneur, podcaster, author, Death Doula, and Grief Companion, Inner Alignment Coach, and world traveller.
My most recent and exciting endeavour is becoming a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)! I am currently completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, working toward full registration hours!
January through August 2026, I will be completing my practicum hours, entirely online, with Janine Ruddy & Associates, where I will be focused on creating a warm, grounded, and inviting therapeutic space that supports genuine connection and emotional safety. My practice blends both in-person and virtual sessions (geography depending), allowing clients to choose what feels most comfortable and accessible for them.
Great news, too! Working with me will be covered by most psychotherapy benefits!
My approach is holistic, addressing the whole person - mind, body, and soul. I believe that healing unfolds when we bring awareness to all parts of ourselves, integrating emotional insight with embodied experience. My areas of focus include grief, existential issues, self-worth, confidence and communication / self-advocacy, perfectionism and high-achievers, burn out, anxiety, work/school and life stress, imposter syndrome, and somatic approaches to healing. I work collaboratively with clients to explore both acceptance and agency, finding ways to take control where possible and soften into self-compassion where needed.
With nearly 20 years in helping and teaching roles, I bring warmth, curiosity, and gentle directness to the therapeutic process. I often work with individuals who feel they have to hold it all together, carrying the weight of responsibility and expectation. Together, we’ll explore what it means to be strong in a new way—creating space for vulnerability, balance, and growth.
